Advertising, conversations and contributions
Reader advertising consent
Advertising consent is separate from signing in and from optional analytics. Use the advertising consent controls offered in your account to review, refuse, or withdraw your choice. Refusing does not grant Premium, and granting consent does not guarantee an advertisement will appear. The service checks the current consent and regional requirements before requesting an ad. If the setting cannot be loaded, try again later; do not assume a failed save changed your choice. Never send authentication tokens to support.
Story ad breaks
Story ad breaks occur only at approved authored boundaries on eligible releases. The player pauses Story playback while the advertisement is active and resumes after the break finishes. Advertising does not become Story dialogue or alter your choices. An unavailable ad, failed request, or timeout must not require a purchase to continue reading. If playback remains stuck, reopen the same session and report the Story, approximate time, device and visible error through support. Avoid repeatedly starting new sessions.
Creator advertising policy and reports
A Story owner chooses whether to opt that Story into advertising and which offered categories to exclude. Opt-in alone does not create an ad break: the published release must contain approved opportunities. If a selected restriction cannot be enforced by the provider, advertising demand is suppressed rather than the restriction being ignored. Disabling advertising does not unpublish the Story.
The creator advertising report separates delivery counts, estimates, allocated earnings and royalty-statement references. Small-count reason breakdowns may be withheld for privacy. Advertising compensation comes from reconciled external-provider statements or prepaid in-house campaign views charged once and attributed to your Story. An ordinary SDK impression is not a payment. Delivery costs are deducted before the configured creator share; percentages are frozen on the allocation, not promised as a universal rate. Advertising is separate from the subscription pool and has no performer component. Later financial corrections enter a later accounting period instead of rewriting issued statements. Consult your royalty statement and the Compensation and Payout Terms for the recorded amounts; ask human support about a discrepancy.
Advertiser campaigns
Mystrix Marketing uses your existing Mystrix account. Where the service is enabled, upload an image creative, choose published Story context and a schedule, review the fixed quote and fund the campaign. Artwork, destinations and campaigns require approval. In-house campaigns receive eligible placements first; external networks fill remaining slots. Reader privacy choices, ad-free benefits and creator exclusions apply to both.
Campaigns offer total and daily spending limits, frequency caps, even or accelerated pacing, and pause/resume/cancel controls. Direct display billing requires at least half the ad visible for one continuous foreground second, correlated with the live presentation. Reports show qualified impressions, clicks, spending and available funds; delivery volume, human attention and conversions are not guaranteed. Refunding stops new delivery, waits for active presentations and returns unused whole cents. A residual fraction below one cent is waived when the balance is closed. See the campaign's fixed quote for its CAD rate and applicable tax.
World chat
Open a world page and use its chat area when the world offers one. Sign in before sending a message. World chat is a shared room: other room participants can see messages, so do not post private account or payment information. It is different from an account-private character conversation. Your saved content-safety filter also applies to room entry and sending, using the World's published rating.
On the website, messages from someone else have report and hide controls. Report sends that exact message and its author to the moderation queue; choose the reason and add only the context reviewers need. The native reader apps offer the hide control in World chat. Hiding an author removes every message from that room author immediately and excludes later history and live messages from the same person or AI character. It does not file a report or sanction the account. The room shows your hidden authors after a reload; use Show messages there to restore an author and reload visible history.
A character mention may receive an AI reply, but a response is not guaranteed. Generated character and ambient lines are checked against the World's rating and blocked topics before they can be stored or shown. World owners can disable chat, pause the room or disable AI participation. A paused or unavailable composer does not mean your message was sent. Reconnect and check the history before sending again; ask support if the error persists. A suspended or banned account loses its existing live-chat connection on its next frame or heartbeat as well as being refused on new requests.
World-chat messages are retained for 90 days unless the World or owning account is deleted sooner. In the Android or iOS World chat screen, select Export my World chat messages and choose where to save or share the file. A signed-in request to `/api/me/world-chat/messages/export` downloads the same retained messages attributed to your account as newline-delimited JSON; it does not include other readers' messages from the shared room.
Private character conversations
Open the character conversation from the published Story or its character detail and sign in. The thread belongs to your account and that Story character; it is not the shared world chat. Replies use the published character context, and conversation access respects reader content-safety restrictions. AI replies use the same interaction allowance as Story AI assistance, with creator-owner preview handled separately. If your allowance is exhausted, wait for the displayed reset or review subscription options. When a reply is pending or fails, check the conversation before sending again. Ask support about a stranded reply and include the Story and character names, not credentials. Talking here does not edit the creator's published canon.
Expert contributions
Expert testimony is a contributor use for documentary or instructional material, not a fictional cast role. A registered account needs an expert profile before submitting a contribution, and its expertise must match that profile. Submission includes credential evidence, recording provenance, permitted uses and an exact performance licence owned by the contributor. A submission starts as a draft; activation checks eligibility rather than automatically approving unverified expertise. Contributors can withdraw their own contributions. Withdrawal blocks new qualification and instructional segment delivery but does not erase an already-published credit, use or payment record. Ask support if you cannot reach the contribution controls on your device; the help assistant cannot verify credentials or activate material for you.
Report a bug or suggest an improvement
Use Report a bug in the website account or support controls and choose bug or improvement in the report form. Describe what happened, steps to reproduce, and the expected result; for an improvement, explain the current friction and desired result. Include the affected app or page and a concise summary. A screenshot is optional: remove passwords, tokens, payment details and other private information before attaching it. Keep the confirmation or tracking reference after submission; submission does not promise an immediate fix. Use the content-report control for harmful content and human support for refunds, account access or urgent account-specific help. A bug report is not a refund request.
Performer consent and revocation
Performer consent is separate from account registration. Declining or revoking it does not remove ordinary reader or Creator capabilities. Review the exact voice or likeness rights and scope displayed with the consent before accepting. Submission does not guarantee admission, casting, use or payment: recordings and images undergo separate review. Use the revocation control in your performer account to revoke consent. Revocation stops new server-side synthesis, likeness imports and Story publication using that licence and removes matching server-side cached clips and pending synthesis bookings. It cannot recall media already downloaded by another device or rewrite historical published credits and use records. Questions about provenance or disputed use belong with human support and the published Voice Performance Rights and Provenance policy.
